Alumni Hall of Fame – Call For Nominations

For many, the road to lifetime achievement included study at Monroe Community College. The College and the Monroe Community College Foundation created the Alumni Hall of Fame in 1992 to recognize those alumni who have achieved outstanding success and made a lasting impact on their community.

Each year the Alumni Hall of Fame Committee of the Monroe Community College Foundation considers nominees and selects up to four new inductees. The new inductees’ pictures and biographies are permanently placed in the Alumni Hall of Fame Corridor on MCC’s Brighton Campus.

How You Can Help

Please identify an outstanding candidate or candidates for our consideration.

Criteria

Candidates must have completed a minimum of two semesters at Monroe Community College, demonstrated achievement in their profession or business, provided service in their community and added value to Monroe Community College and/or its Foundation.

Diversity of candidates is welcomed and encouraged. Persons running for political office will not be considered during their active campaign period. Posthumous nominations will not be considered.

HOW TO NOMINATE

Complete the online Alumni Hall of Fame/Nomination Form or download the nomination form.

One form submission is required for each candidate you nominate.

The Selection Process

Following receipt of a completed form, we contact the nominee and request they complete a Candidate Information Questionnaire that indicates their willingness to participate in the selection process. The Hall of Fame Committee then meets to consider each nominee. Final selections are made by mid-June, and we then personally notify the nominees who have been selected.

Evaluation Categories & Criteria

The selection committee will consider each individual based on categories that include, but are not limited to, those listed below. All nominations are encouraged. The selection committee recognizes the nominees may not have significant accomplishments in all categories.

  • Business/Professional/Community Achievements
Demonstrated significant, measurable achievements in their chosen field or their community.
  • Past Or Present Service To Monroe Community College and/or its Foundation
    Exhibited leadership support and involvement.
Adds value to the College and/or its Foundation.
  • Service To The Community
Contributed leadership service to the community.

Please review the candidate questionnaire form carefully to assure that responses are comprehensive and quantifiable.

Nominations must be submitted by June 1 to be considered. You are not expected to provide comprehensive information; the nominee will be asked to submit a separate form detailing their accomplishments.
